I missed the Boman Irani show last week...

I had relatives from Al-Ain come over so I gave away my Gold tickets (which also get you into the afterparty) :-/ My friends who did get to go said it was a good show and that there were other celebs around like Rajkumar Hirani, Shankar Mahadevan and some other comedian whose name they didn't know (EDIT: It was Kunal Vijaykar, thank you Sherene)

I don't go gaga over celebs but Boman seems like a stable, level headed person. I would have probably asked him if he could do anything to stop the Indian Film industry from churning out mindless, stupid junk they call movies. Seriously, some of the crap that they show on screens today make me cringe and fill me up with enough rage to chomp a kitten's head off.

The other day I was chatting with a couple of friends from Greece and they wanted me to recommend some movies from "Bollywood" as they had heard a lot about the singing and the dancing. It is not easy recommending movies when the world's understanding of Indian movies is akin to what's shown in this popular YouTube video: Benny Lava.

So what Indian movies would you recommend to people who want to watch some of our fine "Bollywood" cinema?
