Went to Bharma

15 Mar

In January I was working in Spain and took a day trip to Barcelona.

Legend told me of a bar dedicated to LOST.

So I had to visit.

They have a Tail Section.

A hatch that lights up.

Ruins.

Dharma Station door.

They even have their own energy drink

and beer with two different labels, one is black one is white.

And the UPC code is 4815162342.

And sandwiches named after everybody.

And coincidentally I got the veggie.

Peter Gabriel - My Body Is A Cage

The last episode of House M.D. was masterclass. Call it schadenfreude but I enjoyed watching him the way he was during that episode - I like the psychology that goes into creating and maintaining dark characters on screen (when done right of course). This ep threw up a lot of questions for me - the main one being if a rational, sane person can actually make a decision to end their own life.

This is the final song in that episode, Peter Gabriel's amazing version of Arcade Fire's "My Body is a Cage" was a perfect fit for that scene.

House M.D. is back.

"Lost" Star Matthew Fox Volunteers in India

Just weeks before the Christmas holidays, “Lost” actor Matthew Fox travelled to India on a medical mission with Operation Smile, meeting hundreds of children suffering from cleft lips and cleft palates who were born into unimaginable poverty.

Fox spent his time playing with the children who were awaiting operations. A father of two, Fox’s heart was quickly captured by 5-year-old Saban.

The operation required to repair a cleft lip can take as little as 45 minutes.

After the surgery, the stress and desperation that previously lined the face of Sarban’s father was replaced with pure joy. “When they told me that he was ready for surgery, that moment was the happiest moment in my life,” Sarban’s father said. “Now that I see him, I am the happiest father in the world.” (Operation Smile Photo – Marc Ascher)

Celebrities set to attend include former NBA player of the Miami Heat, Tim Hardaway; star of the hit Broadway play “Dream Girls”, Syesha Mercado; Super Bowl champ and 2 time Pro Bowl winner, former NFL Player of the Atlanta Falcons, Gerald Riggs, along with his son, successful International Sports News Castor, Gerald Riggs Jr.; supporting actor from “Stomp The Yard,” Alfred Thomas; and Miss Latina International, Esther Dollar.

The Big Bang Theory

About a month ago, when Ipsa found out that I don't watch The Big Bang Theory, her initial reaction was something like this:

A month later, I'm in the middle of season 3 and even with the audience laughing in the background, I actually enjoy this show :) This is one of rare few shows that does not suck when I watch 5 episodes in a row.

I love all the references they throw in there, be it the comic book ones or the hardcore physics ones. Did you know that there is a blog written by the show's science advisor (David Saltzberg) who explains all the physics stuff in every episode? Check out The Big Blog Theory.

I have a few favourite moments from the show but my #1 moment would be the one when Penny gifts Sheldon a napkin autographed by Leonard Nimoy.

On some nights I get a few friends together and we each get to pick and watch our favourite episodes together ^_^

J.J. Abrams is Pitching the John Locke and Ben Linus Show

J.J. Abrams is Pitching the John Locke and Ben Linus Show

J.J. Abrams is one busy man. Fresh off the news that Alcatraz landed at FOX and Person of Interest found a home at CBS comes news that he is now pitching – are you ready for this LOST fans? – a comedic drama starring Michael Emerson and Terry O’Quinn (LOST‘s Ben Linus and John Locke) as former black-ops agents. The shows working title is Odd Jobs.

Vulture hears that Abrams and his frequent collaborators Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec began pitching the show to networks last week. As the report says, “the involvement of Abrams and other Bad Robot types means there’s a really good chance the project will soon find a home.” As stated above, Abrams has showed just this week that he can garner attention from networks and then seal the deal by getting his shows picked up.

All of us LOST fans know the chemistry the two of these men have on screen, and to get to watch them work together again would be a pleasure. Just imagining the two as new characters, cracking jokes as black-ops agents alone is worth a few laughs. The two have repeatedly both expressed interest in working together since LOST ended, but at that point it was two actors and friends hoping that something would come along for them. Now it looks like their hopes (and ours!) may become a reality very soon.

Are you excited or are you excited?

A comedic drama starring Michael Emerson and Terry O’Quinn?

OH YES, PLEASE!
